Here's everything we've been writing...Sleeping Bear Dunes Artist in Residence Program
The Lakeshore itself operates an Artist in Residence Program that allows professional American writers, composers, and visual artists to utilize time and space within the Lakeshore to be inspired by it. The program provides rent-free use of a campground or park house for a three-week stretch of time.
ISLAND Hill House Artist Residency Program
The Hill House Artist Residency gives artists two-to-four-week periods of isolation and inspiration in Antrim County.

Community Reading of Whitman’s “Song of Myself” on Oct. 6
Michigan Writers will present a reading of Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself”. The poem, a part of “Leaves of Grass” and consisting of 52 cantos, will be read in its entirety at the State Theatre, October 6 at 1 pm. Admission will be free of charge.
