July Poetry Boot Camp
Longtime Michigan Writers member, leader and presence Holly Wren Spaulding relocated to Massachusetts, but she’s back (although temporarily) in July! And she’s bringing back one of our long in-demand workshops, her Poetry Boot Camp, for a necessarily limited run.
Marla Kay Houghteling Workshop in Bay View
Marla Kay Houghteling, a Michigan Writers member, will conduct a workshop “Writing Poems from the World in Front of You” at the Bay View Association (a Chautauqua on Lake Michigan) on July 9, 11, 16, 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. The sessions will include using model poems as guides for writing one’s own poems by drawing on observation and memory.
Journal and Sketchbook Workshop, June 22nd
Activities will help you use visual note taking, writing, and expressive mark making to help you record memories, observations, imaginings, stories, and visual narratives. All skills and experience levels welcome.
