Art, Film, Philosophy: Reading and Mini-Workshop with Ashley Siebels

Join us for a reading with ISLAND writer in residence Ashley Siebels, followed by a mini-workshop.The workshop will focus on using ideation exercises to generate new work and create productive writing habits, with an opportunity to write and option to share.
Ashley’s first collection of short stories, “You Are a North American Housewife,” is inspired by the work of Grace Paley and Lorrie Moore as well as her own midwestern upbringing. Her characters are faulted, sweet, desperate and humorous.
